AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM INFORMATION

The After School Program (ASP) is offered to children of OLV parents.  The ASP accepts all OLV students.  Students not picked up from the carline or after specific afternoon activities/events are automatically escorted to the ASP.  The parents will be assessed the appropriate fees associated with this service.  No child will be allowed to wander the grounds unsupervised.

REGISTERING FOR THE PROGRAM

Complete the attached Registration Form and return it with your $20 registration fee per child to the front office as soon as possible in order to be registered for the Program.

ASP ACIVITIES

Students attending the ASP will be provided with a healthy snack, time to complete homework, recreational activities, and arts and crafts activities.

ASP TIMEFRAME

ASP begins at 3:00PM and ends promptly at 6:00PM, according to the school clock, on all full school days and begins at 2:00PM and ends promptly at 6:00PM every Wednesday as listed on the official school calendar. A Late Pick-Up fee of $50.00 per 15 minute increment will be assessed for children not picked up by 6:00pm.  ASP begins on the first FULL day of school and continues through the last FULL day of school.  ASP will not be provided on 12PM dismissal days.  Please refer to the school calendar for ASP closings.

LOCATION OF ASP

ASP meets primarily in the OLV cafeteria and the Lower Division Pod, occasionally using a variety of other school facilities based upon the activities planned.

STUDENT BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT

The ASP supervisors recognize that after school time is different from the regular school day.  However, children are expected to follow the Code of Conduct as stated in the most current version of the Family Handbook.  This includes:

• Respecting and cooperating with those in authority;
• Respecting peers in the program;
• Fully cooperating with the rules of the ASP, which have been established for everyone’s safety to ensure that the time is beneficial and enjoyable for all.

TAXES

It is the responsibility of each parent to retain cash payment receipts or cancelled checks for tax records.

FEES

The following costs have been established for the 2008-09 school year:

• A $20.00 non-refundable Registration Fee for any child who uses the program at any time.
• A $10.00 fee for the first hour, or any portion thereof; and a $5.00 fee for each additional hour, or any portion of a given hour.  Students not picked up from the carline, who attend the After School Program will also be charged, as described above.   
• A Late Pick-Up fee of $50.00 per 15 minute increment will be assessed for children not picked up by 6:00pm.
• Students not picked up from carline or any after school activity by the designated time for that activity will be sent to the After School Program and the parents charged according to Numbers 2 through 3 above.
• Late Payment Fees are assessed according to the policies of the Business Office.  All After School Program fees are billed through the Business Office.  A student may not participate in the After School Program if fees are more than 30 days past due.
