Mrs. Crane is the Resource Teacher at Our Lady
of Victory. I received
my BS Degree in Elementary Education from Western Kentucky University,
my MA Degree in Education, endorsed as a Reading Specialist, from
Western Kentucky University, and my Specialist Degree in Reading
from Troy State University. I am a certified instructor of the Orton-Gillingham Language Approach and a certified trainer for Brain Based Education. I have been in education for over 35 years.
This is my eighth year at Our Lady of Victory.

County Schools
- Outstanding International Youth to Youth sponsor
(Drug-Free Schools Organization)
- Named to Who’s Who Among
America’s Teachers
- Supervisor of Student Teachers for
Georgia State University & Clayton
College and State University
- Supervisor of Junior Year Interns at Georgia State
University
- Wrote articles for textbook entitled Illuminations,
used by reading classes at The University of Georgia
- Wrote
article entitled “101 Book Reports” that appeared
in an issue of Instructor Magazine
- Committee member for Interim
Review of Paulding County Schools, Southern Association of
Schools (SACS)
- Recipient of “A+ for Clayton County, Inc.” $1,000
grant for development of Project Passport, a Social Studies
year-long project
- Wrote book entitled Kids Making Quilts for
Kids, a young person’s
guide for having fun while helping others and learning about AIDS and substance
abuse. Quilts made from this project are given to local hospitals for use with
babies with AIDS
- Drug Free Schools Teacher of the Year presented by PRIDE
- Nominated
for Disney Teacher of the Year
- Chosen to be an Official Score
Keeper in Basketball for the Olympics
- Developed a manual with
directions and forms for the Student Support Team Program
at Our Lady of Victory
My interest include:
- All sports—I have been married to a coach for 37
years
- Spending time with my two granddaughters, Hannah and
Maddi and grandsons Bryce and Brady
- Reading
- Traveling
- Working with children
