The Resource Program at
Our Lady of Victory provides an inclusive education. Inclusion is
a term that refers to educating students with learning differences
in general education classrooms, alongside their peers. Necessary
support and services are provided in the student’s regular
classroom.
Mrs. Crane serves as a
resource for teachers by observing, consulting on academic concerns,
working with students in small groups and individually, and recommending
learning strategies. She consults with teachers on academic and
behavioral concerns while providing students with opportunities
to be leaders in the context of day-to-day school and life. She
collaborates with the School Counselor for assisting students in
the Student Support Team (SST) program.
Student Support Team (SST)
The Student Support Team is a problem solving and coordinating
structure that assists students, families, and teachers to seek
positive solutions for maximizing student potential. It provides
an opportunity for school staff and/or family members of the student
to present their concerns about individual students and, through
discussion and study, plan a positive course of action, assigns
responsibilities and monitors results. The SST at Our Lady of Victory
focuses on individual student needs.
