Voting Ballot 

7 March, 2008

Dear OLV Parents,

This letter accompanies the Official Election Ballot for the selection of Officers to serve on next school year's Home and School Association Executive Board.  For most of the Executive Board positions, there is a candidate who has been nominated by the seated Executive Board.  Anyone who wishes to may write in a candidate.  If you choose to write in a candidate other than yourself, please be sure to discuss your nomination with that person prior to writing in the name to avoid wasted time and effort.  All potential nominees must have met their contractual obligations to Our Lady of Victory in order to be considered.

I cannot stress how important your consideration and participation is in this matter.  Your Home and School Association Executive Board is the driving force behind all fundraising efforts and activities.  Further, the Executive Board is the primary communication vehicle between you, as parents, and the school.   With the addition this year of the Spiritual Life Committee, the Hospitality Committee and the Cultural Arts Committee, this Board has expanded its purpose significantly to represent a broader scope and program. 

We would ask that ballots be returned to the school NO LATER THAN THE 20TH OF MARCH, 2008.  Ballots will be tallied immediately after and the results of the election will be announced in the following Thursday folder going out on the 27th of March.  The newly elected Board members will be included in Executive Board meetings and activities until the end of the school year.  They will also be expected to meet several times over the coarse of the summer break to plan and prepare for the upcoming school year.
