The Philosophy of the program is:

• To expose students to enrichment opportunities that compliment their grade level curriculum
• To nurture special learning characteristics, interests and abilities among students, giving them an opportunity to benefit from interaction with their peers
• To enhance creativity and thinking skills

Goals of the Small Group Work:

• To develop use of investigative techniques, information gathering, problem solving, thinking skills, and imagination
• To increase skills for independent learning
• To generate novel ideas and products, enhance risk-taking
• To increase technological skills

Skills being worked on:

• Application, analysis, synthesis, and evaluation of concepts
• Fluency, flexibility, elaboration, and originality of ideas
• Explore the different levels of thinking
• Thinking "out of the box"
• Logic and brainteasers
• Curiosity and risk-taking
