Mrs. Morrison - First Grade I’m very happy to be in my fifth year teaching first grade at OLV. First graders are the most fun to teach because they love everything about school – even spelling tests! My husband Mike and I have lived in Fayette County for 16 years. Soon after we moved here, I started teaching at my children’s pre-school. I taught at First Presbyterian in Peachtree City for eight years. When my children were in high school, I was excited to learn that Our Lady of Victory needed a first grade teacher. I was born in upstate New York, and still like to visit the Adirondacks every summer with my family. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from the State University of New York at Oswego. Most of my free time, over the past several years, has been spent cheering for my boys at track meets, soccer, baseball, basketball, wrestling, and football games. Patrick and Billy are now students at Georgia Tech. Steven will graduate from Starrs Mill High School this year. I enjoy running, reading and going to yoga class. I also participate in various faith formation classes at Holy Trinity Parish, where we are members.
I have been a part of the OLV community for five years. I have been a teacher's aide in Pre-K and second grades and for the past three years, I have been the teacher's aide for first grade. I also supervise the students in the After School Care Program. I love to work with children and I am grateful to be working in a Catholic school environment.
